God’s Word is perfect; translations are not. At First Fruits of Zion, we recommend a literal, word-for-word Bible translation for in-depth study of the Scriptures. While recognizing the limitations of modern translations, utilizing a more literal version enables the student of Scripture to better explore the depths of God’s eternal Word.
Predominantly, we utilize both the English Standard Version and the New American Standard Version (1995 Update). ESV is frequently used in our books, journals, and online resources. The ESV combines “word-for-word precision and accuracy with literary excellence, beauty, and depth of meaning.” Through our years of study, we have found these translations to be useful in gaining a deeper understanding of God’s holy Word.
