About "The Commandment to Bless"
Life is busy. The strain of our daily routines often keeps us from focusing on God's kingdom; nevertheless, we still find time to eat. God commands us to bless Him when we eat. Every meal provides an opportunity to stop, take time out, acknowledge God and place words of Torah on our tongues and the path of discipleship back under our feet.
We learn from Torah and discuss examples from the life of the Master and discovering ancient Christian and Jewish traditions relating to blessing God before and after meals. We look at the biblical themes of the traditional prayers, consider the lessons of those prayers and discover a means by which to fulfill this commandment of God in a practical and delightful manner.
