A Dash of Drash, PDF eBook
Torah with a Focus on Imaginative Midrashic Interpretation.
In this, her second volume of weekly Torah studies, Keren Hannah gives readers a glimpse into the fascinating world of midrash with its added spice of imaginative interpretation. A Dash of Drash encourages the asking of questions and offers edifying insights that challenge one to use one's own godly imagination.
Our aim in A Dash of Drash is to approach each parashah from a different perspective—that of imaginative application (midrash). In this book we are encouraged to ask different questions and seek deeper answers. All of which should enrich our understanding of the Word, and Yeshua himself as the Living Word. We hope that as a result, our desire for spiritual growth will be nourished, and our daily living inspired.
In the art of cooking, an informed dash of one or two of the wide
variety of aromatic spices adds flavor and character to an already good
dish—turmeric in rice, cumin and garlic in lamb, coriander in curry,
chili and cilantro in salsa. Likewise, a dash of drash adds interest and
pleasure and contributes to a good, healthy study of Torah.
May you enjoy the spiritual gastronomic adventure.
